A car was reported stolen from the Cabot Street area at 12:47 a.m.

A bird was stuck on a branch on Meadow Road at 1:29 p.m.



A caller on Prospect street reported seeing a deer in the wooded area abutting his property at 2:12 p.m. The officer advised him to let it be and move on. The deer was injured but mobile, the caller said.

At 4:04 p.m., police arrested Jared Weymouth, 27, 65 Palmer St., Salem, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a warrant out of Ipswich District Court, on Boulderbrook Drive.


A woman reported at 10:46 a.m. that she believed there was a man in a silver four-door car who was exposing himself in the municipal parking lot on Central Street, the log said. The man was described as a white male in his 30s with short brown hair, a five o’clock shadow and a medium build. He was wearing a blue and black jacket and jeans. The officer checked the area, and he was not able to locate a car that matched the description given, according to the log. The officer spoke with the woman, and “she did not actually witness an illegal act,” the log entry said.



Police arrested Angel Avelino Jr., 21, 56 Dow St., at his home on two counts of larceny over $250 and assault and battery, at 12:47 a.m.

A caller in the North and Commercial streets area reported a loose dog at 11:27 a.m.



A caller on Risley Road reported seeing two people who climbed into a boat at 10:08 p.m. and said they “looked like they didn’t belong there,” the log entry said.
