Danvers trailer roof collapses under weight of snow

DANVERS — No one was injured when the roof of an unoccupied trailer in a trailer park on North Street collapsed yesterday afternoon.

“The weight of the snow caused the roof to collapse,” said fire Chief Kevin Farrell.

Around 2:30 p.m., Engine 2 was called to Glen Mobile Park, 200 North St., Lot 5C, on a report that a trailer had collapsed. No one was living in the mobile home at the time, Farrell said.

Building Inspector Richard Maloney was called to the scene to inspect the structure, Capt. Frank Sacco said.

“It’s pretty much demolished,” Sacco said.
