A person was reported looking in cars in the area of River and Bridge streets at 4:59 p.m. The man said he had something in his eye and was using a mirror, the log said.
At 9:42 p.m., a caller reported a person shining a laser in the Cogswell Avenue area.
Police arrested Steven Durbano, 41, 28 Main St., North Reading, on a charge of domestic assault and battery, after responding to a call on Cabot Street at 1:26 a.m.
Police responded to a report of a man running from JC Penney on Andover Street at 2:58 p.m. Officers located the man, Alan Iovaine, 32, 20 Hawthorne St., Melrose, who got into a car nearby. Iovaine was arrested on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, second offense, disorderly conduct, and he was also charged as a fugitive from justice on a warrant out of Florida. The driver of the car that Iovaine got into, Juliann Luongo, 32, 66 Auburn St., Medford, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property and two outstanding warrants from Somerville and Malden district courts, according to police.
At 3:26 a.m., police arrested Yago Dasilva, 21, 46 Walnut St., at his home on a charge of assault and battery.
A caller from Esquire Circle reported at 9:50 a.m. that she locked herself out of her apartment, and her 6-month-old child was inside. Maintenance opened the door for her, the log said.
A woman on Brooksby Village Drive reported at 12:37 p.m. that someone stole her $10,000 topaz ring and $300 cash after Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. She also wanted to report that on Sept. 16, someone stole her $10,000 Harry Winston necklace.
A man in the area of Webster Street reported at 1:58 p.m. that someone broke into his car and stole $550 worth of electronic gear.
A dead skunk was on the side of the road in front of 89 Tremont St., according to a 9:34 p.m. log item.
At 12:23 a.m., police arrested Kristina Paradis, 25, 16 Northend Ave., on a charge of domestic assault and battery. Paradis was wanted by a Lynn police officer on the assault and battery charge.
A caller on Essex Street reported a fight at the charter school involving two students at 11:15 a.m.
Police responded to a 1:12 p.m. call from Bridge Street regarding a dispute between sisters and arrested Amy Gould, 31, 19 Washington Park, Carver, on a charge of disturbing the peace. Police also arrested Christal Gould, 33, 127 Bridge St., on a charge of disturbing the peace.
At 2:37 p.m., a caller from Belleview Avenue reported that sometime Wednesday night someone stole assorted tax forms left out on a kitchen table, and a Bible, which had $500 cash inside, the log said.
Police arrested Cristian Cepeda, 20, 24 Mason St., at 4:58 p.m. in the area of the train tracks on Grove Street. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle after license suspension and driving on railroad tracks.
A caller reported at 8:33 p.m. that his daughter — a new driver — was followed in her car from Pleasant Street at the dog groomer lot, to Green Street, then back to High Street, the log said. The girl was unable to describe the car, the operator, or give any other information.
A truck hit a house on Merritt Street and fled the area, a 6:28 a.m. log item said. Officers located the driver of the vehicle, who said he thought he hit some tree branches. There was damage to the upper part of siding by the roof, the log said.
Hadley Elementary School on Redington Street requested assistance with a student outside who would not come inside, according to a 9:28 a.m. log item.
A student reported at 3:37 p.m. that one of his or her tires was slashed while the vehicle was parked in the lot at the high school on Essex Street.
At 10:19 p.m., police arrested Wesley Duca, 24, 26 Pleasant St., Saugus, on four counts of possession of a class E drug, after stopping him on Blaney Street.
Police arrested Robert Payne, 23, 6 Ward St., Salem, on a drunken-driving charge at 1:17 a.m. on Paradise Road.
A road-rage incident in Danvers Square on Maple Street was reported at 8:29 p.m.
Police arrested Marie Hasty, 49, 149 High St., at Buffalo Wild Wings on Independence Way on a charge of disorderly conduct at 9:19 p.m.
Rufus Louf, 25, 6 Lawrence St., Salem, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. in the area of Forest and Maple streets on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding.
