Heard Around Town: North Salem to turn on Christmas lights

(Continued)

Mayor Kim Driscoll is getting ready for her annual retreat with the City Council. Almost sounds like a form of cruel and unusual punishment.

But that aside, our poorly-informed sources tell us she is thinking of holding it at the Wylie Inn and Conference Center.

That would be the Wylie Inn at Endicott College — in Beverly.

What’s a Salem mayor doing going over the bridge to meet with a Salem City Council? Is she ashamed to be seen with the Salem 11 here in the Witch City?

Party time

The Conservation Law Foundation, the environmental advocacy group fighting the proposed Salem power plant, held its Christmas party yesterday.

Do you know who was invited?

Would you believe Rep. John Keenan, the plant’s strongest supporter who is in a knock-down, drag-out fight with CLF?

Hey, it’s Christmastime. Pass the eggnog.
