Everyone seems to do it. Travel down the breakdown lane to take a right onto Water Street off the Beverly-Salem Bridge. Between 8:20 and 11:15 a.m., police pulled over 15 cars and issued 14 citations for people taking the risk. One man didn’t take the news well after getting a citation and was “very confrontational and verbally abusive to officer. Operator felt that because everyone drives down the breakdown lane that it should be allowed,” according to the log. The driver continued to “belittle” the officer before driving off and giving the officer “the finger.”

There was a report of a vehicle into a hydrant filed at 4:56 p.m.

Sunday

William J. Stickney Jr., 44, 202 Rantoul St., was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 12:01 a.m. after police were called to Rantoul Street for a false fire alarm.

Jennifer A. Deinstadt, 34, of Stoneham was arrested on three counts of possessing a class B drug and two counts of possession to distribute drug at Rantoul Street and Broadway. Police were called to the area at 1:20 a.m. to a “party being harassed at gas station.”

Friday

A road-rage incident was reported to police at 7:01 p.m. at Liberty Tree Mall, where a “male punched her car.”

Robert Petrelis, 22 Willowbrae Drive, Peabody, was arrested at Wal-Mart on charges of shoplifting by price-tag tampering, according to a 10:46 p.m. log item.

Saturday

A snow blower was reported stolen from the Courtyard Marriott, 275 Independence Way, at 11:51 a.m.

Sunday

Sotonye Hart, 30, of Boston, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery at Motel 6 at 3:09 a.m. Police were called to the hotel on a report that a “male punched her.”

Derek Farrell, 31, 77 Wenham St., Danvers, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery at 42 Princeton St. at 10:34 a.m.
