Business Expo set for Tuesday

DANVERS — The North Shore Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Business Expo on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CoCo Key Hotel on Ferncroft Road.

The event is expected to attract 100 firms with accompanying exhibits and 2,200 businesspeople, according to organizers. Admission is free.

The expo is a way for businesses to connect with potential customers and clients and will feature product displays, exhibits about professional services and several speakers.

The event begins with a breakfast at 7:45 a.m. featuring a talk on "What Trends Will Drive the Economy in 2012?" by Robert Lutts of Cabot Money Management and John Traynor of People's United Bank.

At noon, local college presidents will participate in a lunchtime panel discussion on maintaining a talented workforce. They include Wayne Burton, North Shore Community College; Ghazi Darkazalli, Marian Court College; Christopher Hopey, Merrimack College; Stephen Immerman, Montserrat College of Art; D. Michael Lindsay, Gordon College; and Patricia Meservey, Salem State University.
