Online show to feature 'Young Witches of Salem'

SALEM — A reality show scheduled to debut on the Internet this October will follow five witches from Salem.

"Young Witches of Salem" will highlight the experiences of cast members ages 17 to 24 who work as psychics, ritualists and witches. The first episode will air Oct. 1 on the website clickvision.tv.

"As a witch in a place where witches are in demand, their lives can become very public, we will share how they handle their lives, their faith and their magick in the crush of Halloween in Salem," a clickvision press release said. "We will follow the Young Witches as they juggle school, work, their commitment to the magickal arts, while still enjoying a social life, attending parties and having fun during the season."

The cameras will watch as the witches explore philosophy, music, fashion, performances and the "development of a Pagan lifestyle."

"They will also interact with Pagan and Witch Elders, who will give them tasks and teachings, guiding them through the craziest season in Salem," according to the release.

Executive Producer Ed Hubbard joined young witches Danielle Young and Ryan "Cyotie" Mello at the Gulu-Gulu Cafe on Wednesday to discuss the project.

"I'm doing this because I believe in breaking boundaries and showing that we are who we are no matter what," Mello said.
