Salem Superior Court reopens after bomb threat forced evacuation

---- — SALEM — The Superior Court building was evacuated this morning over a bomb threat.

Authorities descended upon the Federal Street building just after 9 a.m. Nothing suspicious was found and the building was reopened roughly two hours later.

The Salem police and fire departments and a bomb squad from the Massachusetts State Police responded to the Superior Court building after receiving a bomb threat via phone at 9:15 a.m.

The building was cleared and reopened at 10:58 a.m., according to the State Police office of media relations.
