Beverly police investigating assault on Endicott student

BEVERLY — Beverly police are searching for two suspects that allegedly attacked an Endicott College student early Sunday morning, breaking his eye socket, police said.

The 19-year-old male victim reported the incident to police on Sunday at 11:41 a.m.

The victim told police that he was walking along a path toward the main campus when he was approached by two unidentified men, according to a statement from Beverly police spokesman Officer Mike Boccuzzi.

After he passed them on the path, one of the suspects punched the victim with a closed fist, breaking his eye socket, while the other confronted him verbally, police said.

Beverly police, in conjunction with Endicott College Campus Safety, are investigating the “serious weekend assault,” Boccuzzi said.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.
