Police assisted the Fire Department with a report of a transformer fire on Beaver Street at 4:41 p.m.
Kevin Manuel Quintero, 31, of 32 Chatham St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police received a report of a possible domestic dispute at 6:22 p.m. at 12 First St.
Police and fire crews responded to a fire in a first-floor kitchen at 128 Boston St. at 6:51 p.m. When police arrived, all of the residents were out of the building. The apartment was vented of smoke and the occupants were allowed to return.
Police responded to 18 Porter St. at 7:05 p.m. on a report of a house break. The resident told officers a robot piggy bank was missing.
At 1:05 a.m., police took a drunken man into protective custody after a report of a someone in the hallway at 292 Washington St.
At 1:56 a.m., police went to the Hawthorne Hotel, 18 Washington Square W., for a noise complaint. Police advised a loud group in the third-floor hallway to return to their rooms.
At 2:20 a.m., police went to 52 Roslyn St. for a report of a man causing a disturbance. Police took a drunken individual into protective custody.
Police at 9:27 a.m. took a report of an overnight break into a vehicle at 7 Bow St. A Garmin Nuvi GPS unit and the motor vehicle’s manual were reported missing. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
Police responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a retaining wall in front of 3 Winter Island Road around 2 p.m. Police said the driver was blinded by the sun when her vehicle veered onto the road’s shoulder, striking the wall. Those in the vehicle were not injured, but the car had extensive passenger’s side front end damage and had to be towed. The wall did not appear to be damaged.
