An officer was flagged down at 2:51 p.m. by someone who was concerned a man was walking down Highland Avenue and staggering into the street. Police found a homeless Peabody man who was swaying back and forth and had glassy eyes and slurred speech. After he was given a field sobriety test, he was placed into protective custody. Back at the station, police discovered he had an outstanding warrant for indecent exposure and city ordinance violations.
Michael Conway, 38, of 24 Putnam St., Salem, was arrested at 4 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct after a report of a disturbance on Highland Avenue.
John Reddy Jr., 36, of 24 Arthur St., Beverly, was arrested and charged at 7 a.m. with malicious destruction of property. He reportedly smashed a television in the house.
Domenic Difabio, 51, of 145 Euclid Ave., Lynn, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license after he was stopped at 293 Maple St. at 1:21 p.m.
Kayla Myrer, 20, of 127 Hampton Circle, Hull, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. at Wal-Mart, 55 Brooksby Village Drive, and charged with shoplifting.
Sandy Villanlona-Santana, 23, of 7 Elm St., Apt. 1, Peabody, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery after an incident in the vicinity of 7 Elm St.
Two Charlestown women were summonsed for shoplifting over $100 at Macy’s at the Northshore Mall at 3:12 p.m.
State police responded to a three-car accident at Centennial Drive and Route 128 at 3:25 p.m.
A caller reported at 3:34 p.m. his motor vehicle was entered and the ignition was damaged at 3 Anthony Road.
Jason Banville, 30, of 12 Oak Ave., Peabody, was arrested and charged with driving after license suspension, a subsequent offense, at 47 Bartholemew St. at 4:49 p.m.
Animal control responded to a report of a cat stuck in a fence at 115 Central St. at 7:34 p.m. The officer was able to free the cat.
