Police received a report at 11:12 p.m. that some intoxicated customers were refusing to pay their bill at Pellana restaurant, 9R Sylvan St. Police persuaded the revelers to pay their bill and they left in a cab.
A caller at 1:59 a.m. reported a man wearing a black tank top was yelling in the middle of Anthony Road. An officer reported the man was attending a party at 3 Anthony Road, and the resident agreed to keep the noise down and the people inside.
At 3:26 a.m., police checked on an intoxicated woman walking in the area of 47 Washington St. and 44 Oak St. The officer transported the woman to the lobby of the station, and she was later picked up by her brother.
Danvers police reported a brush fire off Route 128 and Centennial Drive southbound at 9:51 a.m.
A caller from Veterans Memorial Drive reported the window of his vehicle had been damaged at 10:17 a.m.
An officer was flagged down on Ocean Avenue at 3:32 p.m. by a person who turned over a hypodermic needle, which the officer secured.
A caller said she followed a blue Chevrolet pickup on Tedesco Street heading into Swampscott that was occupied by three people who appeared to be throwing rocks from their windows at 4:06 p.m. The caller saw the vehicle enter Stop & Shop in Swampscott. Police spoke with the driver’s mother who reported it was not ice balls or rocks coming from the windows, but grapes. The officer was advised by the mother the driver would not do this again.
