Police were called to 19 Pierce Ave. at 5:49 p.m. on a report of a “dispute over custody of dog.”

Saturday

Police responded to 20 Ropes St. at 5:09 p.m. on a report that a dog was tied to back porch and making noise. The dog was inside on arrival, but officers “spoke with party regarding the cold weather,” police wrote in the log item.

Sunday

Police were called to Dodge Street at 11:33 a.m. on a report of a “female panhandling in plaza.” The woman was “advised she was trespassing and instructed to move,” police wrote in the log item.

Derrick A. Silvano, 18, 23 Mill St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and threatening to commit a crime at his address, according to a 11:54 a.m. log item.

Danvers

Saturday

A threatening letter was reported at the Extended Stay Inn, 102 Newbury St., room 101, at 9:53 a.m.

Marblehead

Friday

A report of a telephone pole snapped in half was reported at the corner of Pleasant Street and Baldwin Road at 8:08 a.m. Verizon was notified.

John L. Paige, 56, 293 Ocean Ave., Marblehead, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, negligent operation of motor vehicle and possession of open container of alcohol after police responded to a single-car crash on Pleasant and Rockaway streets at 8:58 p.m. A telephone pole and a parked car were struck, according to the police log.

A caller reported to police at 11:01 a.m. that a white lobster boat was sinking in the harbor. A message was sent to the harbormaster.

Peabody

Friday

A report of an ATV speeding in the area of 5 Evans Road was called in at 3:14 p.m. Police were unable to locate it.

Jennifer J. Barrett, 45, 29 Oak St., Apt. 1, Peabody, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery at 6:53 p.m. A male reported to police that Barrett fled the area on foot and was wearing all black, according to the log item.

Tara E. Hubbard, 35, 5 Beverly Commons Drive, Apt. 25, Beverly, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious destruction of property over $250, according to a 9:21 p.m. log item. A man reported he was “just stabbed multiple times with a knife” by his ex-girlfriend. The victim was transported to Union Hospital by ambulance, police said.

Saturday

Felipe Sabogal, 18, 4 Grant St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery at his address at 6:48 p.m. Officers had just settled a matter at the address when 911 was called for a second time in which “the caller stated that the brothers were now fighting,” according to the log item.

A caller on Donegal Road reported an owl may have been impaled with an unknown object at 8:28 p.m. An officer “reports the animal was eating dinner and left the area.”

Salem

Friday

Bryna C. Rudolph, 33, 48 Endicott St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine at her address at 5:22 p.m. She also has a warrant out Framingham.

Two men were arrested on trespassing charges at 117 Lafayette St. at 8:36 p.m. when they were found passed out in highly intoxicated states. Steven F. Swain, 51, homeless, was charged with trespassing and for two outstanding warrants for assault and battery and trespassing. Darryl E. Long, 51, homeless was arrested for a default warrant for violating a municipal ordinance.

Richard D. Fuller, 31, homeless, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace at Lifebridge, 56 Margin St., at 11:54 p.m.

Saturday

Police responded to 12 Pope St., Apt. B714, at 1:49 p.m. on a report of stolen medication. A woman reported that sometime during the past week, approximately 10 Percocet pills in a plastic bottle, which were prescribed to her, were stolen.

A person will be summonsed to court after allegedly spitting on another person at Salem Hospital, 81 Highland Ave., according to a 2:22 p.m. log item.

Police responded to 10 First St. on a report of an “animal in vent,” called in at 4:24 p.m. A woman stated she heard a kitten crying and thought it might be stuck in a vent on the side of the building. After a search, the kitten was located on top of a snowbank and was brought to Northeast Animal Shelter until the owner is located, police said.

Sunday

Officer Timothy Salvo and K-9 Turbo were called to West Shore Drive in Marblehead at 1:38 a.m. to assist police there with an accident in which a passenger may have fled and be could be injured. “Upon arrival, K-9 Turbo was deployed, and a search of the area and surrounding streets found no one in the area,” according to the log item.

Police were called to an address on First Street at 12:13 p.m. on a report of a “domestic between sisters.” Stacy M. Perez, 19, 10 First St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Swampscott

Friday

A report of “pickup trucks racing in the parking lot” of Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore, 55 Atlantic Ave., was called in to police at 10:44 a.m.

Several calls came into police at 11:33 a.m. of “people sliding into traffic” on Danvers Road and Essex Street. An officer responded.

Ocean flooding was reported at Kings Beach, 55 Humphrey St. at 11:34 a.m. The Department of Public Works was notified.

Anne-Marie Fischer, 27, 11 Savoy Road, Hamilton, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting by asportation at 4:32 p.m. at The Paper Store, 435 Paradise Road.

A caller reported witnessing a head-on crash at the train bridge on Essex Street at 7:20 p.m. The Fire Department and ambulance were notified. Injuries were unknown, according to the log item.

Saturday

A caller at 62 Shelton Road reported to police at 1:08 p.m. that there is a vehicle parked in his driveway. “He does not know who it is, and they have no permission,” the log item read.
