Elks hoop shoot is Sunday

BEVERLY — The Beverly-Salem Elks Club will hold the local competition of the annual Elks National Free Throw Contest on Sunday at Beverly School for the Deaf, 6 Echo Ave.

The contest is for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. There is no cost to participate.

The competition will take place at 9 a.m. for ages 12 and 13; at 11 a.m. for ages 8 and 9; and at 1 p.m. for ages 10 and 11. Age will be determined by a child’s age on April 1, 2014. Girls and boys will shoot in separate divisions.
