A story in yesterday’s edition, “Three to receive Drum Major for Justice awards,” requires clarification. Carole Germano, one of the honorees, was the second woman to serve as a full-time police officer in Danvers but not the second woman hired. Lindsey (Brown) Maihos worked as a reserve officer for a time in the 1980s. The first full-time female officer was Nancy Bezemes.
