Danvers church to hold community prayer tonight for slain teacher

DANVERS — Danvers Church of the Nazarene is opening its doors to the community for prayer tonight, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The community prayer is in response to the death of Colleen Ritzer, 24, of Andover, a mathemathics teacher at Danvers High School. Ritzer was found dead in a wooded area outside the school. A 14-year-old suspect is in custody and scheduled to be arraigned today.

The church is at 181 Dayton St., in the Hawthorne area of Danvers.
