At 6:46 p.m., police arrested Britton Hoffman, 26, of 17 Thorndike St., on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, after a traffic stop in the area of Hale and Lovett streets.
A man reported at 12:40 a.m. that he came out of the Franco American Club on Park Street and found a man in his car. He chased the man up to Federal Street and lost him, the log said.
Wayne Sylvia Jr., 43, of 606 Manor Road, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. on a charge of domestic assault and battery on Manor Road.
A person reported at 9:33 a.m. that he or she suspected a Domino’s Pizza driver took a package from the front common hallway of a building on Knowlton Street the previous night between 5 and 6.
Police arrested Gabriel Suazo, 27, of 60 Rantoul St., at 11:29 a.m., on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Suazo was arrested in the area of Rantoul and School streets.
A caller on Pierce Road reported coyotes living in the area at 3:07 p.m.
A caller reported at 4:04 p.m. that while he was walking into his building on Palmer Street, someone shot a paintball at him. The caller wasn’t hit, but the pellet hit the building.
When a Salem State University student was crossing Loring Avenue at College Drive around 3:15 p.m., a car ran over her foot, according to a 4:05 p.m. log item. The driver stopped, but the woman proceeded to her class without getting the driver’s information.
At 8:05 p.m., police arrested Renee Morse, 50, of 11 Hartford St., on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and breaking and entering at night with the intent to commit a felony, on Charter Street.
Dennis Moustakis, 47, of 23 Dearborn St., was arrested at 8:44 p.m., on a charge of drunken driving after police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Dearborn Street. Moustakis struck a parked car on the right side of the road.
A raccoon was reported seen near Salem High School on Willson Street at 7:18 a.m. Police were unable to locate the animal upon arrival.
Police served a city ordinance violation to the owner of Salem Grill and Chicken on Lafayette Street for one count of operating a secondhand valuable business without a license, according to a 1:43 p.m. log item.
A caller on Cliff Street reported getting a suspicious letter at 2:21 p.m.
A caller on Trager Road reported at 1:10 p.m. that two elderly men were walking around her property and peered into her car. She said they arrived in a white sedan with out-of-state plates. According to the log, they were assessors with Patriot Properties and were checking lot sizes for the town.
Police arrested Zachary Ehlert, 26, of 12 Reed St., at 1:33 p.m. on charges of possession of a class A drug and receiving stolen property over $250, after a caller reported seeing a person pacing back and forth for a few minutes on Evans Road, then entering a residence and coming out carrying a TV.
The Hadley School on Redington Street reported a problem with a student at 11:45 a.m.
Police arrested Devin Eriesian, 27, of 165 Old Burley St., at his home at 10:05 p.m. on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
At 5:20 a.m., police arrested Kenny MacDonald, 36, of 82 Hamilton St., Saugus, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and violating a town bylaw. MacDonald was arrested on Endicott Street.
Kristin Teheen, 32, of 109 Pleasant St., Gloucester, was arrested at 1:40 p.m. at the Lowes Home Improvement Store on Andover Street, on charges of shoplifting over $100 by concealing merchandise and possession of a burglarious instrument.
Timothy McBride, 56, of 92 Sagamore Ave., Chelsea, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. on a drunken driving charge after police pulled him over on Argilla Road.
