A caller reported someone walking in the middle of the street in the area of Herrick Street and Nelwood Terrace, according to a 9:06 p.m. log item.
A resident on Cleveland Road reported to police at 2:32 p.m. that there is a coyote living in the neighborhood.
A 5:33 p.m. log item says an anonymous caller reported he saw a gray SUV pull up to a residence on Bowditch Street and a person brought a long gun into the house. The caller believed that two men might have left the house prior to him reporting the incident.
A coyote was spotted in the back parking lot of the McCarthy School on Lake Street, according to an 8:17 a.m. log item. An officer spoke with the principal who said the school wanted to make police aware that a parent reported there was a coyote on the property.
A woman found a “threat to kill” written on the men’s bathroom wall of the Department of Transitional Assistance on Congress Street, according to a 6:44 p.m. log item. The assistant director did not know if it was a recent occurrence, but said he would have the bathroom walls painted as soon as possible.
At 9:04 p.m., police arrested Taylor Geden, 24, homeless, of Gloucester, on a charge of illegal possession of a class A substance, and a warrant out of Gloucester District Court. Geden was arrested on Loring Avenue.
Residents of a building on Leavitt Street believe someone is using the side of the building to deal and do drugs, according to a 10:28 a.m. log item. A woman reported that in the past few weeks she has picked up drug paraphernalia along the side of the building, and other tenants have told her that they have seen people in that same area throughout the day and night.
