A Lowell Street man contacted police at 4:50 p.m. to report that a woman he described as his “estranged girlfriend” had re-directed his tax refund to her bank account.
Police took a report of a dispute over chickens between neighbors on Walsh Avenue and Roycroft Road at 5:15 p.m. The Walsh Avenue man reports that he has been harassed over his chickens, which he is legally permitted to keep. He said his neighbor yelled at him over the fence.
Eric Duran, 32, of 21 Bowditch St., Peabody, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. on charges of disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property following a report of a disturbance at that address.
Laura Ramirez, 36, of Lynn, was arrested at 7:07 a.m. on County Street on charges of driving without a license and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
Steven Jenkins, 23, of 5 Pond St., Salem, was arrested on Pond Street at 5:09 p.m. on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
Kyle Allen, 28, of Lynn, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. on Highland Avenue on charges of driving after license suspension, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and driving a vehicle with defective equipment. Police said the vehicle’s owner will be summonsed to court on charges of allowing an improper person to operate a vehicle.
The owner of a tractor-trailer unit parked on Goodhue Street reported at 1:33 p.m. that someone had spray painted graffiti on the vehicle.
A Wharf Street woman reported at 1:47 p.m. that a former friend had been calling and leaving voice mail messages, which were unwanted as the friend had begun dating the woman’s former boyfriend.
Tara Green, 28, of 33 Green St., Marblehead, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct after police were called to the CAB North Shore detox facility on Middleton Road at 8:21 p.m.
Justine Perez, 20, of 49 Butler St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of larceny of property valued at more than $250 following a report of a shoplifter at Target on Independence Way at 3:51 p.m.
Police took a report at 9:40 a.m. of a possible past burglary at a Williams Street home.
Police took a report of a stolen coat from a 70-year-old woman visiting the Beverly Public Library at 10:07 a.m.
Police are investigating a report of threats toward a police officer made via Facebook at 11:27 a.m.
Jaime Stavros, 32, of 4 Sophia Road, Salem, was arrested on charges of possessing class B drugs, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, driving an uninspected vehicle, and driving with defective equipment at 1:43 p.m. following a stop on Bridge Street.
Police spoke to a man panhandling on Park Street at 6:34 p.m. They noted that he had a large wooden pepper shaker in his waistband.
Gary Lentini, 53, of East Boston was arrested at 3:26 p.m. on a charge of domestic assault and battery, following a report of a domestic disturbance on Guernsey Street. Following his arrest, he was taken to Salem Hospital for evaluation of chest pains but then cleared to be sent to Middleton Jail.
A small fire that started on the deck of The Barnacle on Front Street at 1:36 a.m. was quickly knocked down by firefighters; police alerted the owner of the building.
A skunk was the only casualty in a collision between a car and a pole or tree on Atlantic Avenue at 7:24 a.m. No humans were injured in the crash.
