Police received a 1:08 a.m. report of an accident at Anna Drive and Dayton Street and subsequently arrested Scott Stordy, 44, of 96 Liberty St., Middleton, on a charge of drunken driving, second offense.
About 11 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Endicott Street and subsequently arrested Jorge Aurich, 30, of 5 Esquire Circle, Peabody, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
An officer was unable to locate anything amiss after a 2:35 p.m. report that a man with a firearm was near Gould and Park streets.
Police were unable to locate a suspicious male who was reported to have entered a restroom at 160 Essex St. at 5:13 p.m.
A man reported at 6:51 p.m. that his $500 laptop had been stolen from his vehicle after he left it unlocked and running while he went into Petsmart at 10 Traders Way about 12 p.m.
Police responded to 3 Connors Road after a 6:44 a.m. report that somebody was standing in the middle of the road, but they were unable locate anybody doing so.
A woman at 4 Northey St. reported at 6:52 a.m. that her 13-year-old daughter had apparently run away at some point overnight. Police wrote later: “While looking in the girl’s room, she was found hiding under her bed.”
A 2:32 p.m. report of an unwanted male brought police to the entrance to Salem Harbor Station at 24 Fort Ave., where they determined he’d “walked into the guard shack ... and began to complain about how the plant spoils the view of the harbor.” An officer located the man on Fort Avenue and served him a no-trespass order for the property.
