The school resource officer at the Middle School reported a student had a knife in a backpack. The officer made a separate report of threats at the school.
An employee at Stop & Shop on Paradise Road reported at 1:21 p.m. that he was being harassed by a customer.

A 92-year-old woman fell at a residence on Edgehill Road at 5:52 p.m. An ambulance and firefighters responded.
A Charlotte Road resident called police at 8:47 a.m. to report that the Internal Revenue Service had contacted him to report that someone was using his Social Security number.
A Manataug Trail resident reported that in November she lost a platinum ring with a diamond in the center.
A resident came to the station at 7:36 p.m. to report a possible scam. She said her car was struck by another vehicle in Salem in a minor accident at Washington and Canal streets. She told police the male driver demanded $500 and, when she refused, asked for $50. When she refused again, she said the man reduced it to $20, which she paid. The woman said she gave him the money, her name and address. She filed a report with Salem police, who advised her to report the incident to Marblehead police.
A report came in at 3:07 a.m. of a young man in a “hoodie” and jeans walking in Marblehead Neck. The man told police he was coming from a friend’s house but wouldn’t give the family’s name. He told police he was walking on foot to South Boston. Police followed him as he walked “briskly” across the Causeway. Police later determined the youth had been in a fight with another young man and would be staying overnight at a house in Marblehead.
