While accompanying a sheriff’s deputy attempting to turn off the gas at a High Street residence, police spotted a man with outstanding warrants and arrested him. Shane Davis, Jr., 20, of 13 High St., was booked on default warrants on charges of assault and battery and destruction of property.
A report came in at 1:59 p.m. that the Kernwood Bridge was stuck in the open position.
A woman contacted police at 4:15 p.m. to say that she received a threatening email at work from a man she did not know named Muhammad Yunus Jinnah.
A man was reported sleeping in a cemetery at 11:29 a.m. at Hale and Lothrop streets. The man was sent on his way.
A leaf blower was reported stolen at 12:54 p.m. from Bow Street.
Someone left cinder blocks, a wooden pallet and a traffic cone blocking a parking space at Pond and Chapman streets.
Police went to a Cabot Street residence at 3:46 p.m. where two men made harassment allegations against each other. Police said none of the activity was criminal and advised them to seek complaints in court.
A handgun was found under the hood of a motor vehicle at 5:12 p.m. on Rantoul Street. Police are investigating.
A motor vehicle accident that caused personal injury was reported at 9:21 a.m. on High Street.
Colin Lawler, 29, of 14 Colburn St., Gloucester, was arrested at 2:21 p.m. at Wal-Mart on Brooksby Village Drive on a charge of shoplifting.
