A brown Ford F350 pickup truck went off the road and hit a pole at 41 Winona St. at 7:50 a.m. No injuries were reported to the North Reading driver. Peabody Municipal Light was called to check the pole. Police called the Peabody DPS to sand Winona Street due to heavy ice on the roadway.

State police responded to a single-car accident at 8:09 a.m. in which a vehicle struck a guardrail and went into a ditch at Interstate 95 and Centennial Drive.

Mail was reported stolen by two residents of Aborn Street at 1:22 p.m.



A person walked into the station with a gold ring that was found on Washington Street and Atlantic Avenue at 10:10 a.m.

A person came to the station at 6:28 p.m. to say she had “accidentally” texted her husband, against whom she had a restraining order. The message said: “I’m sad. I wish my marriage worked,” according to the log. She was advised to send another text stating the former message was accidental and “do not respond to this.”
