Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Rantoul Street at 1:28 p.m. They said two females were arguing after one woman parked her car too close to the other vehicle, causing the bumpers to touch. No damage was observed on either car.



Anamaria Fernandez, 61, of 1 Palmer Ave., Salem, was arrested following a report of two female shoplifters at Savers on Endicott Street at 7:48 p.m. She was charged with shoplifting by asportation.


A resident walked into the station at 1:47 p.m. to report receiving a letter stating the person’s dead mother had won $1.1 million, and she should be in touch by April 10. The letter included an 800 number to call and a return address in Florida.



A female came to the station at 2:54 p.m. to report a theft from her vehicle at the corner of Blaney Street and Thorndike Terrace.

A caller reported there was a young child out on a roof at a Redington Street home at 3:21 p.m.

Walker Road was blocked off after police received numerous calls of a water main break at 8:55 p.m. Public Works was notified.
