Police and firefighters responded to a report of a mulch fire in the area of Intrepid Circle. Firefighters used tank water to douse it at 6:41 p.m.
A vehicle struck the menu sign at the Sonic Drive-In at 55 Newbury St. at 2:29 p.m.
G2 Salon at 210G Andover St., Northshore Mall, reported larceny by check of $150 at 4:07 p.m. Police attempted to contact the customer.
Someone from CTW Transportation, 3 Summit Industrial Park, called police at 5:33 p.m. to report fraud. A trailer, stolen from the company on Sept. 13, was the subject of a fuel drive-off in Maryland. Police told the business owner where to report the crime since it occurred in Maryland.
Police investigated a single-car crash into a tree at 111 Lynnfield St. at 7:33 p.m. The operator was transported to Salem Hospital.
Ramos M. Sanchez, 23, of 49 Geneva St., Revere, was arrested in the vicinity of 53 Winona St. and 2 Jones Road at 10:02 p.m. and charged with driving with a revoked registration, driving without a license and driving an uninsured vehicle with no inspection sticker. Sanchez was also charged with refusing to identify himself to an officer.
Sgt. Douglas Marcus reported at 6:16 a.m. a Comcast bucket truck and a van taking up one lane on Andover Street (Route 114). Officer Michael Muse was sent to inquire, and the crew told him they were going to finish in a few minutes. They were advised to call for a detail in the future if they were to take up one lane.
After being stopped at 260 Lynnfield St. at 9:41 a.m., Hector Mendez, 28, of 3 Acorn St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with driving without a license and an outstanding warrant for motor vehicle violation.
Police took a report of vandalism to an apartment at 4 Proctor St. at 4:07 p.m.
