Woman is ejected during crash on 128

PEABODY — A woman was ejected during a single-car rollover on Route 128 last night and was flown to Tufts Medical Center by medical helicopter with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

The driver was getting off Route 128 north at Exit 44 when the accident occurred around 10 p.m., police said. No information on the woman was released last night.

The extent of her injuries was also unknown last night, but they were serious enough to call for MedFlight, police said. Scanner reports indicated that she was conscious and alert after the crash.

The ramp had to be shut down for a short time until the scene was cleared. The accident remains under investigation.
