Two drivers were cited and one was taken to Salem Hospital after a two-car accident at King and Lowell streets about 3 p.m. Police said a protection column for a fire hydrant was damaged in the accident.

A pedestrian was taken to Salem Hospital with back pain after being struck by a vehicle at Gardner and Pulaski streets about 4:45 p.m. The driver was cited for failure to yield.

Police received a report of a person choking at 20 St. Ann’s Ave., but the father performed the Heimlich maneuver, and the person refused medical transport.

Police received a report at 7:44 p.m. of two suspicious males in the rear of 3203 Crane Brook Way dressed in black and holding what looked like a gun. Police searched the area but found no one.

Yago D. DaSilva, 21, of 46 Walnut St., Apt. 1, Peabody, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. on Lowell Street and charged with driving without a license.

Monday

Police said Rebecca A. McHugh, 23, of 16 Columbia Blvd., Peabody, will be summonsed on charges of driving with a suspended license after an accident on Washington Street about 1:53 a.m.

Police said they would mail a notice of complaint for a loose dog to the owner of a dog that charged at a woman and her dog as they walked by on Clement Street. The offending dog did not make contact with either the woman or her dog, police said.

Salem

Sunday

Sasha Santana, 24, of 80 Sagamore St., Lynn, was arrested at 6:46 a.m. after a traffic stop at Gedney and Margin streets. She was charged with driving with a revoked license and for an outstanding Lynn warrant.

Gary Hagan, 22, of 201 Essex St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery, being a disorderly person and resisting arrest.

Aida Silva, 46, of 12 Pope St., Salem, was arrested and charged with being a disorderly person and with intimidation of a witness.

Abdi Hassan, 53, of 12 First St., Salem, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Beverly

Sunday

Police received a report of a broken window and stolen purse at 25 Grant St.

A smoke alarm at 48 Pleasant St. was set off by a plastic toy burning in the oven. Firefighters used exhaust fans to clear out the smoke.

Carlo Miceli, 46, of 43 Hillcrest Ave., Beverly, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation.

Glenn Goods, 25, of 56 River St., Beverly, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Monday

Police responded to a report of a purse being snatched from a vehicle at Park Street and Broadway. John M. Hodgson Jr., 36, of 22 Swampscott Ave., Peabody, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering.

Stephen Roberts, 50, of 16 Dartmouth St., Beverly, was arrested and charged with burning a motor vehicle.

Marblehead

A Countryside Lane resident told police that people keep dumping furniture in front of her house, including two chairs and some pillows. Police left a message for the public works department to pick up the furniture.

Jean M. Hagberg, 68, of 32 Broughton Road, Marblehead, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, second offense; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; leaving the scene of property damage; a marked lanes violation; and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
