A Thanksgiving meal for everyone

---- — Several local groups are serving free community meals on Thanksgiving Day, and all are welcome. Here is where to find one.


Tavern in the Square, 189 Washington St., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 978-740-2337. Volunteers welcome; to donate time, call the manager in advance.

Lifebridge, 56 Margin St. Two servings, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. 978-744-0500.

Moose Lodge, 50 Grove St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., dinner at noon. Registration required, by calling Salem Council on Aging at 978-744-0924. Transportation is available for $1 for Salem seniors. Meals can also be delivered to homebound Salem residents; call the Council on Aging to sign up. Although this is geared toward senior citizens, individuals and families are welcome.


St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4 Ocean St. Noon to 2 p.m. 978-922-3438. Volunteers welcome; call the church to donate time.


Haven From Hunger, 71 Wallis St. Noon to 2 p.m. Dinner is courtesy of Henry’s Market. 978-531-1530.


Ma Dukes and Friends, American Legion Post 227, 69 River St. Meals served from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Meals can be delivered to homebound residents; call Debby Marticio at 978-774-0172 to request one. Volunteers welcome, call Marticio to donate time.
