Police received a 1:05 a.m. report that three women were in the backyard at 13 Abington Ave., but an officer was unable to locate them.
Police responded to a 7:59 p.m. report of a man sleeping in a truck at 37 Rowell Ave. Officers were unable to locate the man.
Three men were reported to be on a roof at Pond and Rantoul streets at 11:30 p.m. An officer determined the men were cleaning vents.
A window was smashed on a vehicle at 24 Iverson Road and a pink iPod Nano stolen, according to a 7:09 a.m. report.
Police received a 10:06 a.m. report that a side window was smashed on a building at 163 Lothrop St.
A Rantoul Street woman reported at 2:21 p.m. that she had “randomly” seen a man who was a co-defendant in the homicide of her former boyfriend 10 years before. “Unknown if this was a chance encounter,” wrote an officer. Police advised the woman to call police if the man returned.
A Prince Street man reported at 11:12 p.m. that a vehicle had nearly struck his fence.
Police responded to an 8:13 p.m. report of an “undesirable” sleeping in front of the Grace Episcopal Church at 385 Essex St. and found two people there asleep under blankets. Both were advised to leave the area and not return.
A man who went to Salem Hospital’s emergency room for a toothache was unhappy that he was given a follow-up appointment at another location and called two nurses names before knocking over a newspaper box on his way out, according to an 8:20 a.m. report.
Police responded to a 9:08 a.m. report of a “male party acting up” at 152 Washington St. Jeremy Ray, 25, of 31 Salem St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
