DANVERS — You've heard of Chinese food, Italian fare and French cooking. So what does one consider strictly American cuisine?
The Danvers Historical Society's American Cuisine Evening tomorrow attempts to answer that question with a buffet of local restaurants featuring American food.
This is the third event in the society's food sampling series. The fundraiser will benefit the society's preservation projects, secretary Irene Kucinski said.
The buffet, which begins at 6 p.m. at Tapley Memorial Hall, 13 Page St., will feature a variety of local restaurants, including Sylvan Street Grille, Chili's, the Danversport Yacht Club, Texas Roadhouse, T.G.I. Friday's, The Hardcover, Applebee's, Ninety Nine, Buffalo Wild Wings, 7 Grill and Nine Elm.
Reservations will be accepted until 1 p.m. tomorrow and can be made by calling 978-777-1666. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Parking is available on Page Street and at the community lot at the corner of Page and Elm streets.
