Police received a 7:32 p.m. report of a stolen nail gun from somebody on Sparrow Lane Extension, but an officer determined what had occurred was actually part of a business dispute. Police wrote later: “Parties own business together and agreed to meet to exchange tools.”
A 1:18 a.m. report of an assault from a woman on Herrick Road resulted in the arrest of Ty Lee Arbegast, 23, of 32 Sabino Farm Road, Peabody, on charges of two counts of domestic assault and battery.
Police responded to a 5:57 a.m. report that a male was threatening his girlfriend at Dunkin’ Donuts at 117 Newbury St. and arrested Christopher D. Martinez, 41, of 22 Lander Ave., Apt. 1, Lynn, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
A 34-year-old woman was transported to Beverly Hospital with minor injuries after a 6:09 a.m. report of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident at Lynnfield and County streets. The operator of the vehicle — whom an officer declined to identify — was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to the log.
At 6:51 a.m., an officer went to the Plaza Motel on Newbury Street. Subsequently arrested was Erlene Anne McLaughlin, 28, of 21 Essex St., Apt. 1, Haverhill, on a warrant with charges of two counts of a drug violation near a school or park, distribution of a class A drug, possession of a class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug law.
Police conducted a traffic stop on Norfolk Avenue at 10:56 a.m. and subsequently arrested Sarah A. Hames, 34, of 1 MacArthur Circle, Peabody, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
A North Central Street man reported at 11:43 a.m. that he had been scammed while trying to purchase a pickup truck. Police wrote: “Officer stated that the party purchased a car in Illinois. The car has not been delivered as of this date. Officer stated there has not been a crime at this time; if there is a crime it occurred outside of this jurisdiction.”
