Police received a 4:45 p.m. report that somebody had overheard a 12-year-old girl on Pleasant Street threaten to kill herself. An officer wrote later: “Mother has arrived on scene and has taken possession of the child.”

A caller reported at 6:42 p.m. that a group of people -- one of whom was wearing a sumo wrestler outfit -- had thrown a rock at a passing vehicle at Village Street and Highland Terrace. Police spoke to a group later: “They claim a light-colored Corolla drove by and threw objects at them and showed a paintball gun.”

An Elm Street woman reported at 7:25 p.m. that somebody had smashed her ceramic pumpkin.

Police were unable to locate whoever was reported to have egged a Countryside Lane house at 7:31 p.m.


A Gerald Road woman reported at 7:19 a.m. that somebody had thrown a pumpkin at her window, cracking it. An officer wrote later: “It was an egg that was thrown at the window, not a pumpkin. Window is not broken.”



Police received a 5:47 p.m. report that a male in a red sweatshirt had smashed the rear window of a woman’s vehicle near 174 Main St. An officer wrote later: “Spoke with party, reported that she had left the city and would not say where she was. Reported that she did not want to file a report or speak with an officer.”

An officer was unable to locate the driver of a gray sedan who was reported to have “exchanged words” with a mother and her children as they trick-or-treated on Felton Street at 6:15 p.m.

Police responded to Hourihan Street after a 7:12 p.m. report that a male “ran down the street nude.” Police wrote later: “Officer reported person in area in costume matching that description.”
