Matthew S. Wolpe, 29, of Wilmington was arrested at 1201 Crane Brook Way on warrants for possession of class C substance, receiving stolen property, abandoned motor vehicle and operating with a revoked license, at 9:01 p.m.

Approximately $200 in jewelry was reported stolen from 75 Wastington St., Apt. 1L, at 10:48 p.m. after a break-in in which the screen to a window was broken.

Police responded to 35 Mason St. after a 1:39 a.m. report of a domestic dispute and arrested David J. Christensen, 48, of 257 Washington St., Salem, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

A 3:21 a.m. report of a domestic dispute brought police to 36 Boston St. Upon arrival, officers heard “what sounded like furniture being moved around” and spoke to a woman who said “nothing was going on and that she was by herself,” according to the log. The woman refused to let an officer inside, but the officer went in anyway after hearing somebody in the bathroom, then ordered a man to come out. He complied, but then the woman began yelling at the officer and eventually struck him in the face as he was trying to arrest her, according to the log. Raquel A. Salerno, 23, of 36 Boston St., Salem, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.

Police received a 9:36 a.m. report of domestic assault at a Ward Street address. Argelis D. Almonte, 20, of 25 Ward St., Salem, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.

A 10:57 a.m. report of a fire brought police and the Fire Department to 250 Washington St. An officer wrote later: “Wires smoking in appliance, no fire.”

Saturday

Richard Cigile, 23, of Canton, Mich., was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 1:22 a.m. after police were breaking up a large house party at 414 Lafayette St. He was arrested after refusing to leave the area in a “quiet and orderly fashion.”
