An ambulance was summoned for a two-car accident at Essex and Corning streets at 4:08 p.m.

Sidney F. Connolly, 28, of 101 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of indecent assault and battery, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Money was reported stolen from a wallet on Elliott Street at 5:12 p.m.

Police responded to a call regarding a pit bull attacking another dog and its walker at Walker and Cherry roads at 7:20 p.m.

Henry H. Grundy, 55, of 490 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of reckless driving, failing to use care and driving under the influence of a drug, Percocet.


Kristofer H. Looyengood, 23, of 8 Hayden Road, Billerica, was arrested and charged with drunken driving at 1:08 a.m. on Elliott Street, by patrolmen Scott Leblanc and Daniel Brown. Officers initially responded to a report of someone driving erratically.

Tools are reported missing following a report of a burglary on Beckford Street. Copper wire was also reported stolen from a nearby property.



Rachel Chittick, 21, of 6 Gallows Hill Road, Salem, was arrested at 2:05 p.m. at the Lahey Medical Center by Officer Daniel Murphy on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer. The original call concerned an “unwanted intoxicated party.”

A 29-year-old Peabody woman will be summonsed on charges including driving with a revoked registration and no insurance after a stop on Central Street at 2:10 p.m.

A Jordan Road driver complained of vandalism, a damaged window, to a vehicle parked in front of the house at 2:44 p.m.

Police received a report at 6:20 p.m. that a manager at P. F. Chang’s China Bistro at the Northshore Mall “stole $5,000 in the past few months.” Police are following up.

A pedestrian was taken to Salem Hospital at 6:44 p.m. after getting a leg stuck in a grate at Leather City Commons.
