When a woman on Tremont Street was told over the phone she owed money for a past operation at Salem Hospital she was suspicious. Her last operation was six years ago at Lahey Clinic. When the caller realized the scam wasn’t working he made an indecent proposal to the woman, who has since contacted Salem Hospital to be sure her personal information hasn’t been released. She gave the caller no information. Police advised her at 2:02 p.m. that it might have been a prank.
Malicious damage to a vehicle — a slashed tire — was reported at the River Drive apartments at 8:55 p.m.
An accident with personal injury was logged at Conant and Liberty streets at 8:25 a.m.
Police investigated a report of larceny at the Guitar Center on Route 114, as logged at 4:08 p.m.
Police responded to a potentially suicidal person on Cabot Street at 8:06 a.m., taking the individual to Beverly Hospital.
The report of domestic abuse on a 44-year-old woman on Cabot Street drew police at 10:05 a.m. The suspect, who was not apprehended having left prior to the arrival of police, “grabbed the victim by the neck and punched her in the head a couple of times,” according to the log.
Officers answered a call at 12:05 p.m. of a car crashing into a building on Dodge Street.
Keith C. Kohler, 61, of 13B Popes Lane, Danvers, was arrested as logged at 12:12 p.m. on Bridge Street by Patrolmen Thomas Nolan and Michael Backstrom on charges of drunken driving and having an improper inspection sticker. This followed a motor vehicle stop.
Allen R. Delisle, 26, no address, Salem, was arrested as logged at 1:18 p.m., on West Dane Street on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Responding were officers Clifford Wood, April Clarizia, Frank Wojick and Sgt. William Page.
