William J. Murphy, 23, of 7 Parlee St., Salem, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut Street at 8:58 p.m. He was charged with driving with a suspended license. Officers also arrested Yefry Cardona, 22, of 38 Boston St. #5, Salem, on four outstanding trial court warrants, one of which was out of Peabody. A state police K-9 unit was also called to the scene to check the vehicle.
Police received a report of a car into a pole at the corner of Lynnfield Street and Norfolk Avenue at 11:25 p.m. An officer said the vehicle was in the roadway and also ran over a pedestrian sign on the ground. He said the driver may have sideswiped a telephone pole. Utility workers were called to the scene and the driver was taken to his home on Aborn Street.
An officer responded to Jerry’s Department Store on Essex Street on a report of two juveniles who were caught shoplifting at 4:07 p.m. Both juveniles were issued no trespassing orders.
A caller on Langdon Street reported at 6:50 p.m. that an unknown object struck her car windshield. She said she saw a juvenile throw an object toward her car. There was no damage to the car. An officer spoke with the juvenile, and it turned out he fired his Nerf gun in the air and a Styrofoam pellet hit the woman’s car. He was advised to play in the yard instead.
A caller reported at 7:18 p.m. that her apartment on Endicott Street was burglarized. Police said jewelry, clothing and books were stolen.
Joe K. Bezandry, 37, of 13 Pickering St., Danvers, was arrested following a report of a past domestic incident at a White Street residence at 11:36 p.m. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a window) and wanton destruction of property over $250. The victim told police Bezandry threw her into the door during an argument and her hand went through a window panel on the door.
Peter A. Gaudreault, 51, of 12 Pleasant St., Salem, and Patricia Mcintire, 52, of the same address, were both arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after a disturbance at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington Square at 11:40 p.m. Officers arrived to find Gaudreault threatening another male. They tried to separate the two, but Gaudreault was uncooperative and struggled briefly with officers before he was handcuffed. Mcintire was shouting at officers and “making a scene,” according to police, and was arrested after ignoring several orders to stop. She also approached the other male and a female and began to shout at them.
Police responded to a report of groups from two cars fighting in the street on Cross Lane at 6:10 p.m.
Tony Mosley-Joseph, 24, of Cambridge, was arrested following a report of a shoplifter at Liberty Tree Mall at 6:58 p.m. He was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
Police received a report of an erratic operator in a red Mitsubishi at 11:19 p.m. According to a log entry, an arrest was made near City Hall Square in Lynn, but no further details were given.
Jessica Schenkel, 55, of 94 Atlantic Ave., Swampscott, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Humphrey Street and Ocean Avenue at 10:21 p.m. She was charged with drunken driving, negligent operation of a vehicle, a lights violation and possession of a class E drug.
