An iPod was reported stolen from Higgins Middle School on King Street at 8:34 a.m.

Thursday

A man who was yelling into the Goodies ice Cream on Maple Street could not be located by police at 5:34 p.m.

Friday

Fabian Mendez, 23, of 65 Johnson St. in Lynn, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 7:42 a.m. on High Street.

Jessica Champanis, 19, of 29 Prince St. in Danvers, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 8:37 a.m. at Danvers High School on Cabot Street. Police said Champanis was a student at the school.

Marblehead

A caller said she was almost hit by a FedEx truck that was driving on the wrong side of the road near Beacon Street at 11:50 a.m.

Fire officials put out a small building materials fire that was next to a house near Roosevelt Avenue and Elm Street at 6:39 a.m.

Salem

Thursday

A resident of 1000 Loring Avenue said that a rosary she usually keeps in her apartment was not there when she last looked and may have been stolen at 11:31 p.m.

Friday

Police broke up a house party on Linden Street at 12:09 a.m. after a neighbor called police because of excessive noise.

Ryan Jalbert, 22, of 49 Lawrence St. in Salem, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and being a disorderly person at 12:45 a.m. on Barton Square. Police said when they came upon Jalbert he was urinating in public. When police turned their emergency lights on he ran away and tried to avoid arrest, according to officials.

Brain K. Wilkinson Jr., 35, of 14 Pearl St. in Middleborough, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, speeding, marked lane violation and operating a motor vehicle to endanger at 1:48 a.m. on Mason Street. According to police, Wilkinson's vehicle hit a parked car before continuing about 25 feet to hit a utility pole and fire hydrant — in the opposite lane. Police said when they approached he smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes.

At 2:05 a.m., a man said he was walking down Lafayette Street near the Prime Gas Station when another man crossed the street and tried to steal from him. The victim said the attacker had a baseball bat, which he used to assault the victim by hitting him in the arm. Police were not able to locate the attacker.

Kevin Rosario, 30, of 12 First St. in Salem, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of a firearm without a firearm permit at 11:34 a.m. at the above address. Police had been investigating Rosario and had already conducted several undercover drug deals. When Rosario was arrested, police said they found a .45 caliber handgun on his person.

Police responded to First Street at 3:04 p.m. because of a report "of a man tossing a dog off the walls inside." Police said this action was a felony, but the man in question did not seem concerned at this news. They also noted that the dog did not show signs of injury. Police are looking for a witness and will follow up.

The operator of a gray Honda CRV was issued a citation after making contact with a child in a sidewalk at the intersection of Loring Avenue and Rainbow Terrance at 3:07 p.m. Police said the child did not suffer serious injuries, but witnesses added that the school bus's stop sign and lights were deployed indicating that no cars should pass.

A wheel fell off a car driving near School and River streets at 10:43 p.m.

Friday

Items were stolen out of a vehicle at 8:37 a.m. on Willow Street.
