A man reported at 7:54 a.m. that he had found a “battery hooked onto some type of circuit board” in back of a building on Community Road. An officer determined it was an electronic cigarette component.
A 10:20 a.m. report of an abuse prevention order violation on State Street resulted in the arrest of James Thompson, 18, of 23 State St., Apt 4, Marblehead, on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. He was also wanted on a warrant, according to the log.
A Merritt Street man reported at 11:25 a.m. that a tractor-trailer truck had struck his house. Police wrote later: “Truck driver denies hitting house, no visible damage on the house or truck.”
Police were unable to locate an “aggressive driver” who was reported to be on Atlantic Avenue at 3:14 p.m.
A 51-year-old woman was transported to North Shore Medical Center after her scooter fell off a curb while she was trying to back it up near the post office on Essex Center Drive, according to a 4:36 p.m. report.
Police were unable to locate an ATV that was reported to be “racing in the street” at Henrietta Road and Pulver Drive at 5:04 p.m.
Police responded to a 5:52 p.m. report that a snapping turtle was causing traffic problems near 636 Lowell St., but they were unable to locate the animal.
Police received a 6:46 p.m. report that a white 4-door vehicle with Rhode Island plates had flashed a blue-and-white light at a motorist in an attempt to “get her to pull over” on Allens Lane. The woman drove away from the vehicle, and it continued onto 128 north or 95 north, according to the log. Police were unable to locate it.
A Washington Street resident reported at 7:12 p.m. that a snow blower and two lawn mowers had been stolen.
