An 8:18 p.m. report that a man was yelling in the street brought officers to 45 Hancock St., where they witnessed him fall off his bicycle. They spoke to the man and determined he was intoxicated and had been having a verbal dispute with his girlfriend and her mother. Police determined the girlfriend was “just as intoxicated” as the man and took both into protective custody.
A 9:17 p.m. report of a domestic disturbance between sisters brought police to a Sophia Road address. Subsequently arrested was Dakota Lee Deroin, 17, of 6 Sophia Road, Salem, on a charge of domestic assault and battery by dangerous weapon.
Police received a 10:26 a.m. report that a man who had his Planet Fitness membership canceled “due to his behavior” had called the Traders Way business later and stated, “I’m gonna find you and get you hahaha.”
Police were unable to locate two male undesirables who were reported to be panhandling in the area of 252 Essex St. at 11:14 a.m.
A 1:45 p.m. report that money had been stolen from 2 Central St. resulted in the arrest of James Philip Jackson, 47, homeless, on a charge of larceny from a building. He was also wanted on a warrant, according to the log.
Police received an 8:44 a.m. report that a vehicle had possibly struck a stone wall at Locust and Wenham streets, but police were unable to locate anything amiss in that area.
Police and the Fire Department responded to a three-car crash on Elliott Street near Route 128 shortly before 6:30 p.m. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to pop open a door, but there were no major injuries, a dispatcher said.
