Several roads will be closed for paving

IPSWICH — There will be several road closures in town tomorrow and Friday due to paving.

Mitchell Road is scheduled to receive its final coat of pavement from High Street to the cul-de-sac tomorrow starting at 7 a.m., according to Department of Public Works Director Richard Clarke. The work, which will start at the cul-de-sac and progress toward High Street, is expected to last only one day.

There will be limited access on portions of the road during the work because final paving requires vehicles to be off the road for one to two hours once the pavement is placed, Clarke said.

Linebrook Road is scheduled to be closed from Leslie Road to Route 1 on Friday starting at 7 a.m. The work is also expected to be completed in one day. A detour will be set up for motorists to navigate their way around the work.

The work is weather-dependent and could be delayed by one day or to the following clear day, Clarke said.
