A large maroon Coach bag was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Humphrey Street, according to a 7:49 a.m. report.
A West Shore Drive man reported at 3:23 p.m. that he had received a scam phone call announcing he had won $2.5 million. “All he has to do is get $850 and send that ... before the millions can be released,” wrote police. An officer determined that the money was supposed to be sent to a Denise McIntyre, at 25 Washington St., East Bridgewater. “Caller said that Denise is supposed to call him later. He will try and get a phone number for her.”
The driver-side window of a vehicle on Goldthwait Road was smashed overnight, according to a 3:46 p.m. report, but nothing was apparently stolen from inside.
Police received a 911 hang-up call from Devereux Street at 3:50 p.m., according to the log. Police wrote later: “One of the young boys playing with the phone ... no emergency.”
An bicyclist was hospitalized after he or she hit a curb near Seaview and Atlantic Avenues at about 9:22 p.m. and sustained a femur or hip fracture, according to the log.
A Jersey Street man reported at 6:45 a.m. that he had “some type of oxygen-eating gas in his house and he did not know where it was from.” The man declined help from emergency personnel, saying only “he wanted it in the logs.”
A 9-year-old on Brackett Place was hospitalized after a 6:59 a.m. report that he or she was having difficulty breathing.
Police were unable to locate an injured black dog that was reported to be wandering in traffic at 1 Preston Beach at 6:24 a.m.
A vehicle at 9 Huron St. was broken into overnight, according to an 8:35 a.m. report.
Police were unable to locate a child who was reported to be alone in a vehicle at 135 Boston St. at 4:19 p.m.
