A 12:17 p.m. report that a baby was locked in a car brought police to 28 MacArthur Road. An officer wrote later: “Baby got out, all in order.”

Police conducted a traffic stop at 122 Hale St. at 2:08 p.m. and arrested Liam MacKenzie, 23, of 322 Rantoul St., Beverly, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was also wanted on three warrants, according to the log.

A 4:34 p.m. report that a man was passed out on the sidewalk brought police to Cabot and Dane streets. Subsequently arrested was Sean R. McCarthy, 28, of 290 Chestnut St., Lynn, on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, carrying a dangerous weapon and a violation of the city’s knife and weapons ordinance. An officer said McCarthy grabbed the responding officer, warranting the assault charge, and had an automatic flip-out knife on him, leading to the carrying a dangerous weapon charge.
