Justin Shairs, 20, of 107 Elliott St., Danvers, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. and charged with resisting arrest, breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, and larceny over $250.
Police received a report at 4:54 p.m. of a possible rabid fox in the area of Crosby Avenue. The animal control officer has the animal, police said.
An officer was sent to observe the “high crash” area of Cabot and Dodge streets near Henry’s Market between the peak commuter hours of 5 to 6 p.m. The officer noted that traffic backed up several times onto Route 128, “creating a possible future hazard on 128 North.”
Police called AAA at 9:39 a.m. to free a 3-year-old child locked in a car on Elliott Street.
Three people were taken to the hospital and one driver was issued a citation after an accident on Essex Street at 8:28 a.m.
Police notified the harbormaster that a kayak had been found off shore. The harbormaster reported that the owner came forward and said the kayak had gotten loose from its mooring.
Police responded to a 6:58 a.m. report of a man sleeping at the train station with his shirt pulled up over his head. The man told police he was waiting for a train.
A Rowland Street resident told police that a car speeds up her street every day around 8 a.m. and that she has yelled at the driver to slow down. Today the driver intentionally sped up as she passed the resident, who was loading her kids in the car. Police called the driver and told her to be mindful of the speed limit.
A woman told police she was driving on Atlantic Avenue when a truck in front of her struck a tree limb, causing it to fall and strike the passenger side of her vehicle, where her son was sitting. Police notified the tree warden to look at the tree’s low branches.
