A Caller Street resident reported a hit-and-run at 3:36 p.m. Hearing a bang, they “looked out the window to see a blacked-out, newer-model Volkswagen backed into a corner of the house, damaging the siding.” They were unable to get the license plate number.

An employee at Nordstrom in the Northshore Mall will be summonsed on a larceny charge, according to the log at 5:20 p.m., as part of “an ongoing employee theft investigation.”

A 62-year-old resident of Mobile Estates on Route 1 will be summonsed to court on charges including assault with a dangerous weapon — a baseball bat — and threatening to commit a crime, murder.

Police will investigate a report of a burglary at Precision Time on Route 114, according to the log at 9:42 a.m.

A 27-year-old Marblehead woman will be summonsed for leaving the scene of property damage, following an incident in the vicinity of Bagel World on Sylvan Street, as logged at 4:14 p.m.

A man was taken to Salem Hospital, and a 30-year-old man from Walsh Avenue in Peabody will be summonsed on a charge of assault and battery, following a fight reported by the Sylvan Street Grille on Sylvan Street at 7:10 p.m.

A woman reported her pocketbook stolen while she was in the dressing room at Macy’s in the Northshore Mall. She told police at 8:15 p.m. that she lost her license and $500 in cash.

A resident at Peabody Square complained that a car had been egged at 8:34 p.m. A 37-year-old man from Mill Street in Peabody will summonsed for malicious destruction.

An officer reported “a stray pug” on Bourbon Street at 9:49 p.m. “Officer is unable to catch. The dog is too scared.”

A customer at the Sylvan Street Grille told police at 11:25 p.m. that his car had been stolen. Later, he conceded that he’d forgotten “he didn’t drive there” in the first place.
