Police received a 2:58 p.m. report of a disturbance outside Center School at 18 Irving St. and determined that a man and woman were arguing over a child custody issue.

Police requested that the Fire Department determine whether the auditorium at Veterans Memorial High School was over capacity after a 6:47 p.m. report that the school had oversold tickets for a concert. “All in order,” police wrote later.

A hood ornament was stolen from a Volkswagen Jetta at 7 Madison Ave., according to a 9:10 p.m. report.

Police took a 9:41 p.m. report of threats via Facebook at the Sylvan Street Grille, 12 Sylvan St.


A Warren Street man reported at 7:36 a.m. that he believed somebody in a blue car from the 1990s had been following him and surveilling his home “in an attempt to steal a 1987 Camaro.” An officer instructed him to the drive to the Police Department; an officer determined that the vehicle following him belonged to a private investigator who had registered with the department.

Police received an 11:38 a.m. report that someone at Mrs. Russell Psychic Studio, 259 Andover St., had their hair pulled. “Two residents were having a disagreement regarding the TV,” police wrote later. “A relative arrived and took one of the residents shopping.”

Radio reports indicated that a green Ford F-350 with commercial plates and a sander on the back was stolen out of Peabody around 7:10 p.m.



Police attempted to serve an arrest warrant for a man at 8 Chandler Road at 6:44 p.m. but couldn’t find him; police discovered that he may have exited the residence via a basement bulkhead. A K-9 unit subsequently tracked the man through several backyards but was unable to locate him. “It appeared he fled across School Street toward Dunlap,” police wrote. Later, at 8:19 p.m., officers were called back to the same location after a report of a man yelling. A woman said the subject of the warrant had tried to get back inside, but she wouldn’t let him. An officer located the man near 181 North St. and arrested him. He was wanted on a probation violation charge alleging intimidation of a witness and assault and battery.
