Monday

A hit and run accident near 284 Washington St. was reported at 5:40 p.m. According to the report, a snow plow struck another vehicle causing damage to the front end.

A report of loud music at 82 Derby St. was called in at 7:19 p.m. The resident turned down the volume despite a protest, according to the report.

A report was filed at 8:05 p.m. for a hit and run accident on Washington Street. A pickup truck rear-ended a car and drove off, according to the report. The bumper, which fell off the pickup truck, was taken as evidence.

Tuesday

Police officers responded to the Tavern in the Square at 189 Washington St. for a fight that broke out around 12:09 a.m. A man who had cuts to his face stated he had been punched but would not cooperate with police, according to the report.

A loud party at 24 Hazel St. was reported at 12:30 a.m. The party was ended, the report said.

Loud music was reported at 256 Jefferson Ave. at 12:31 a.m. Officers told the resident to turn the music off and she complied, the report said.

A loud party was reported at 32 Palmer St. at 12:33 a.m. The party had ended before police arrived.

An intoxicated man was placed into protective custody after it was reported he was yelling at cars in Washington Square around 2:08 a.m.

A 2:09 a.m. a car crash resulted in Brendon Geary, 21, 331 Jefferson Ave., Salem, being arrested on charges of operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation at 105 Canal St.

Loise Wanja, 26, of 84 Aborn St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of liquor at 459 Highland Ave., following a single-car crash at 3:02 a.m.

A hit and run accident was reported at 7:45 a.m. at Gallows Hill Road. There was considerable damage to the front end of the vehicle, according to the report.

At 8:48 a.m., it was reported that an unknown person smashed the window of a 2011 Jeep parked at 62 Leach St. It appears to be a random act of vandalism, according to the police.

A report was filed at 10:21 a.m. for a window being broken on a 2003 Dodge van in front of 4 Clifton Ave.

At 12:06 p.m., a person reported his car window was smashed sometime overnight at 64 Salem St.

A window of a 2002 Ford pickup truck was smashed while parked near 106 Broadway at 12:39 p.m.

A break-in at 19 Rockdale Ave. was reported at 2:55 p.m.

Monday

Michelle S. Pepen, 23, of 50 Ward St. Apt. 2 in Salem, was arrested on charges of shoplifting over $100 by concealing merchandise at Sears, 210 Andover St., at 5:48 p.m.

A loud party was reported at 49 King St. at 6:13 p.m.

Tuesday

Ronald Dominguez, 23, of 5 Tanners Court, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct at 12:42 a.m. at 11 Perkins St., when police responded to a report of a car crashed into a pole. Danielle E. Firth, 33, of 5 Tanners Court, will be summonsed to court for drunken driving, child endangerment while under the influence, and operating a motor vehicle recklessly to endanger.

Brandon Suffern, 20, of 12 Pope St., was arrested for disorderly conduct at the Lahey Clinic, 1 Essex Center Drive at 1:33 a.m.

A hit and run accident was reported at 1000 Crane Brook Way at 9:10 a.m.

Danvers

A car break-in was reported at 15 Broad St. at 7:46 a.m.

At 11:08 a.m., a car break-in was reported at 25 Appleton St. Items were stolen, according to the police log.

A GPS and sunglasses were stolen from a car at 23 Appleton St., according to a report filed at 12:50 p.m.

Beverly

Monday

A past break-in at 120 New Balch St. was reported at 12:27 p.m.

A hit and run crash at 4 Warren St. was reported at 4:42 p.m.

Threats were reportedly made over the phone to Verizon employees at 410 Rantoul St. at 5:56 p.m.

Tuesday

Joseph F. McDonald, 18, 23 Odell Ave., Beverly, was arrested for possession of liquor under age 21 and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor at Elliott Street and Dock Lane at 12:32 a.m.

A car crashing into a tree was reported at the intersection of Lothrop and Washington streets at 12:38 a.m.

A report of two people fighting at the intersection of Highland and Railroad avenues was reported at 2:43 a.m. The two people were gone when police arrived.

A break-in was reported at 5:18 a.m. at a business at 47 Enon St.

A purse was reported stolen at a party at 4 Clipper Way at 3:48 p.m.

Sylvania A. Suarez, 23, of 24 Central St., Marblehead, was arrested on charges of assault and battery and disturbing the peace on Asbury Street at 1:37 a.m. Police said there were reports of a car driving down Asbury Street with its passenger side door open, and Suarez was reported to be fighting with someone inside the car.
