Police: Armed suspect barricades himself in home

SALEM — A man accused of threatening people with a gun barricaded himself in his Lynn home last night.

Isaac Suggs, 40, threatened a group of people on Mason Street, then fled, according to police. Police say he made threats to kill.

Just weeks ago, Suggs was arrested for malicious destruction of property, trespassing and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, police said.

Last night’s confrontation occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. No one was reported to be injured, and Salem police launched a search for the suspect.

He was seen by Lynn police entering his home. They subsequently mobilized a team to deal with the situation.

He was still inside the home as of press time last night.
