Police fielded a 10:26 p.m. report of a woman being stalked at the Liberty Tree Mall.
A “strange noise” at Buttonwood and Strawberry Hill lanes was reported at 7:02 a.m., but an officer later called the report “unfounded.”
Police and the Fire Department responded after an 8:30 p.m. report that a motorist had driven over the guardrail at the end of River Street and onto the rocks below, stopping about a foot shy of the water. An officer at the scene said the car would have landed in the water if it hadn’t been low tide and that the male driver was shaken up but uninjured. It was unclear what caused the crash, but a witness reported that the car didn’t slow down as it approached the end of the road, the officer said.
Police responded to a 7:19 p.m. report of a man “acting up” in the emergency room of Beverly Hospital and arrested Roy Kenneth Dumas, 55, homeless, on a charge of threatening to commit a crime.
Police responded to a 3:45 p.m. report of a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend on Park Street.
One person was hospitalized after a 7:19 p.m. report of a group of youths at 474 Rantoul St., one of whom had “passed out.”
Five officers responded to an 11:15 p.m. report of a “large fight” inside a bar at 374 Rantoul St. but determined that there was no fight. “Unhappy patron left area,” an officer wrote.
A car struck a tree at Livingstone and Rowell avenues, according to an 8:11 a.m. report. There were no reported injuries.
Police responded to a 12:27 p.m. report of a motorcycle on a handicapped ramp at 32 Essex St. “The moped was moved shortly after my arrival,” an officer wrote.
