A man turned in a wallet at 11:23 a.m. that he found in a snowbank on Atlantic Avenue. Police contacted the owner, who said he left the wallet on the roof of his wife’s car — just before she drove off.
A resident on Nonantum Road contacted police at 12:28 p.m. to report receiving phone calls via Jamaica from someone trying to scam him out of money.
A Dumpster fire was extinguished on Bessom Street at 11:28 a.m.
Devon W. Dunham, 24, of 17 Barnard Hawkes Court, Marblehead, was arrested at 11:04 p.m. at his address on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery on an elderly, disabled person resulting in an injury.
Kevin C. Meagher, 47, of 2 Pearl Road, Saugus, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue on charges of carrying a licensed firearm while intoxicated, drunken driving (second offense), speeding, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
A car knocked down a pedestrian light pole on Cabot Street at 2:02 a.m.
Police went to a residence on Sohier Road at 9:02 p.m. on a report of a lost necklace.
A 17-year-old was transported to the hospital from Bennett Street after taking an unknown quantity of a “designer” drug, according to police.

Hilda Esteban, 26, of 38 Rogers St., Apt. 1, Lynn, was arrested at 1:39 p.m. on Bartholomew Street, following a motor vehicle stop. She was charged with driving without a license, failure to yield at an intersection and a brake violation.
A father and son were both arrested during a domestic incident at 5:58 p.m. at 89 Congress St. The son suffered a stab wound to the forearm and was treated at the scene and transported to Salem Hospital. Douglas W. Trowt, 68, of 89 Congress St. was charged with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a knife). Michael George, 29, of 25 Fernview Ave., North Andover, will be charged with domestic assault and battery on an elderly person.
An employee at the Hess station on Derby Street reported a shoplifting incident at 6:14 p.m. The shoplifter was described as a white woman wearing a black jacket and pink pajama bottoms.
A woman told police that she was the victim of a hit-and-run accident at 7:15 p.m. on Bridge Street. She said her car was hit from behind by a red vehicle that sped off.
Police tagged more than 60 vehicles overnight during the snow emergency.
Marie Sheena Tassone, 28, of 56 Margin St., Salem, was arrested at 11:24 a.m. on a charge of shoplifting in connection with a theft earlier in the day at Lotus Gifts in the East India Square Mall.
Matthew J. Watson, 33, of 31 Salem St., was arrested at 2:40 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic assault, malicious destruction of property and domestic assault with a dangerous weapon (a large knife). During an argument, Watson thrust a machete-like knife into a kitchen table, police said.
Shannon Walsh, 40, of 87 Park St., North Reading, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. at Walmart on a charge of shoplifting.
Robert W. Hadden, 24, of 10 Abbey Road, Georgetown, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. on a charge of possession of a Class C substance. Hadden was arrested in his parked car on a warrant. When he exited the vehicle, an officer smelled a strong odor of what he believed to be marijuana, police said.
Two men were seen trying to steal a generator at 1:54 a.m. from Ocean State Job Lot on Endicott Street. Police are investigating.
Shirts were stolen from Lacrosse Unlimited on Andover Street. An employee called in a break at the store at 9:24 a.m. Police found pry marks on a back door.
Aminnah Moulaye, 18, of 101 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested at 5:19 p.m. at Claire’s Boutique in the Liberty Tree Mall on a charge of shoplifting.
