Briscoe principal a finalist in Arlington

BEVERLY — Briscoe Middle School Principal Matthew Poska is one of four finalists for the principal’s job at Arlington High School.

Poska is scheduled to meet with parents and members of the public on Tuesday night at Arlington High School, according to a press release from the Arlington Public Schools.

He has been the principal at Briscoe since 2006. He has also been an assistant principal at Beverly High School and Saugus High School and a history and social studies teacher in Lynn.

Poska, a Lynn native who lives in Swampscott, has a bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College, a master’s degree from Salem State College, and is a candidate for a doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University.
